UK to send 600 Brimstone missiles to help Ukraine – media
KYIV. Jan 19 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The British government is planning to send a military assistance package including 600 Brimstone missiles to Ukraine, The Guardian reported.
"Today I can say we’re also going to send another 600 Brimstone missiles into theatre which will be incredibly important in helping Ukraine dominate the battlefield," UK Secretary of State for Defense Ben Wallace said.
He also said Britain has "unlocked" a number of military aid packages in the last year, and will be "going further" by sending a squadron of Challenger 2 main battle tanks to Ukraine.
The UK will also send at least three batteries of AS-90 155 long-range deep dire artillery, a number of armored vehicles, including the Bulldog, Wallace said.
The UK will be working with the U.S. and others "to make sure that this package is put in Ukraine in the right way".
