UK to continue to use economic, diplomatic tools to prevent Russian aggression against Ukraine – Johnson
KYIV. Dec 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Great Britain will continue to use economic and diplomatic tools to prevent Russian aggression against Ukraine, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said in a conversation with the leaders of the United States, Italy, France and Germany.
"The Prime Minister said the UK would continue to use all the economic and diplomatic tools at its disposal to prevent any Russian aggression against Ukraine," the UK government said in a statement on Tuesday.
It is noted that the leaders agreed to act on a united front in the face of threats and hostility from Russia.
"The leaders called on Russia to de-escalate tensions and reaffirmed their staunch support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity," the government said in the statement.
The leaders agreed to renegotiate after President Joe Biden spoke with President Vladimir Putin.
