UIA to launch long-haul charters to resorts of Dominican Republic, Mexico, Maldives in late Dec
KYIV. Dec 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) together with the tourist operator Compass are planning to start a long-haul charter program.
As noted in a message of UIA on Wednesday, the start of flights to exotic resorts in the Dominican Republic (Punta Cana), Mexico (Cancun) and the Maldives (Male) is scheduled for December 27 this year.
"Given that the resumption of flights of Boeing 777-200ER long-haul aircraft is planned for the second quarter of next year, the program of long-haul flights to Punta Cana, Cancun, and Male will be performed on the Boeing 767-300ER aircraft of partner EuroAtlantic," UIA said.
Thus, a joint project for the long-haul program will be implemented, where UIA crews will also be partially involved.
Boeing 767-300ER aircraft will have a two-class cabin layout – business and economy.
