U.S. to work with Italy after elections, committed to support Ukraine – Blinken
KYIV. Sept 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The United States will continue its cooperation with the government Italy after elections there, in particular on economic issues, human rights protection and support for Ukraine, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken has said.
"Following yesterday’s Italian elections, we are eager to work with Italy’s government on our shared goals: supporting a free and independent Ukraine, respecting human rights, and building a sustainable economic future. Italy is a vital ally, strong democracy, and valued partner," he said on Twitter on Monday.
As reported, early parliamentary elections were held in Italy on Sunday, September 25.
