U.S. Embassy in Kyiv: Russia bears sole responsibility for OSCE SMM Mission closure
KYIV. Sept 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Russia bears full responsibility for the closure of the OSCE SMM Mission, as its objections to the extension of the Mission’s mandate are the only reason for its closure, the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv said.
"Russia bears sole responsibility for the Mission’s closure, as its objections to continuing the Mission’s mandate is the only reason for its closure. We have concerns about Russia’s intentions to fulfill its international commitments and engage constructively with Ukraine," the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv said in a statement, released on Twitter on Friday.
