U.S. Dept of Treasury puts Kadyrov on sanctions list
KYIV. Sept 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The U.S. Department of the Treasury on Thursday included in the sanctions lists for Russia Chechen Republic head Ramzan Kadyrov, Russian presidential aide Maxim Oreshkin, and dozens of other individuals and entities from Russia, as well as collaborators – the head of administration of the occupied part of Zaporizhia region,Yevhen Balytsky, and a member of the administration, Volodymyr Rohov.
The sanctions, in particular, have affected some of Kadyrov’s relatives, in particular, his wife Medni and daughters Karina, Tabarik and Ayshat, who is culture minister of the Chechen Republic, the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) said in its document.
The sanctions lists include a total of 44 individuals and 32 entities from Russia.
