Two people killed, nine wounded in Marhanets of Dnipropetrovsk region amid invaders’ shelling from Grads, artillery – region’s head

KYIV. Sept 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) – In Marhanets, Dnipropetrovsk region, as a result of shelling by Russian occupiers from Grads and artillery, two people were killed, nine more were injured, power lines and residential infrastructure were damaged, said head of the Regional Military Administration Valentyn Reznychenko.

"The tragic beginning of the day with the shelling. The Russians once again covered Nikopol district with fire. The next morning they hit Nikopol and Marhanets with Grads and heavy artillery. About 30 shells were sent to peaceful towns," Reznychenko wrote on the Telegram channel.

According to him, two people were killed in Marhanets: a man and a woman. According to preliminary information, nine more were injured. Three of them were rescued by rescuers from the rubble.

There was also a house fire in the town. Firefighters have already extinguished the fire. Russian shells damaged eight houses and destroyed one house.

Due to the enemy attack, 2,200 families were left without electricity. Emergency crews of power engineers are already repairing the lines.

Preliminary, 10 houses were deformed in Nikopol.

Rescuers and police are working at the site of the attacks. The scale of the destruction is being clarified.
