Twenty-nine families in Irpin to receive housing under regional program – mayor
KYIV. Aug 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Within the framework of the regional recovery program, 29 families in Irpin will be provided with housing, Irpin Mayor Oleksandr Markushyn has said following the second meeting of the commission of Kyiv Regional Military Administration for the provision and restoration of housing destroyed as a result of hostilities in the region.
"As of today, within the limits of the funding allocated by the region for people who lost their homes, it is possible to buy 72 apartments and build 70-75 houses (depending on the area) for the entire Kyiv region. Of these, 14 apartments and 15 houses were provided for the residents of Irpin and this is the largest number among all the communities of the region," Markushyn said on the Telegram channel.
First of all, families of the fallen defenders and large families will receive housing under regional programs.
"We will be informed later whose applications will be approved," Markushyn said.
As reported, at least 2,000 families in Irpin, Kyiv region, were left without housing as a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
