Turkish border guards returns to Ukraine crucial witness in number of cases – Interior Ministry
KYIV. Sept 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denys Monastyrsky thanked Minister of Internal Affairs of Turkey Süleyman Soylu for the prompt response and assistance from the Turkish border guards in the recent repatriation of a citizen of Ukraine, who is a crucial witness in a number of criminal proceedings.
According to the Telegram channel of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine on Wednesday, in turn, Soylu assured Monastyrsky of the readiness of the Turkish side for further mutual assistance in the search, detention and extradition of dangerous criminals.
"We are one phone call away to resolve operational issues of an urgent nature," he said during a phone conversation.
Soylu also expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian side for the assistance provided by Ukraine in containing the wildfire during massive forest wildfires in Turkey.
