Tourism Development Agency to develop reform of hotel categorization according to criteria of European Hotelstars Union
KYIV. Jan 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine (SATD) intends to develop a reform of the categorization of hotels according to the European classification meeting the criteria of the Hotelstars Union, the agency’s press service reported on Facebook.
"On January 26, we will begin work on the reform of the categorization of hotels and other accommodation facilities according to the European classification meeting the criteria of the Hotelstars Union. We must do everything to ensure convenience for everyone: both foreign guests and Ukrainians," Head of the agency Mariana Oleskiv was quoted in the report.
At the same time, the strategy for the reconstruction of the transport and tourism infrastructure and the information campaign on the tourist attractiveness of Ukraine remain important areas of work for the agency today, it said.
Hotelstars Union is a European organization tasked to harmonize the classification of accommodations with uniform criteria and procedures to help travelers gain a common understanding of the reputation and quality of accommodation during travel planning and booking.
