Three ships to transport Ukrainian corn to Japan, Tunisia and Netherlands
KYIV. Feb 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Three dry cargo ships with more than 144,000 tonnes of corn left Ukrainian ports on Monday, the Joint Coordination Centre (JCC) reports.
The Seaguardian ship will deliver 64,877 tonnes of corn to the Netherlands, according to the JCC. The dry cargo ship Glorious Sea is transporting 23,500 tonnes of corn to Tunisia, and the dry cargo ship Askio is heading to Japan with 56,000 tonnes of corn.
“The total tonnage of grain and other agricultural products exported from three Ukrainian ports is 22.472 million tonnes. The total number of coordinated ship movements is 1,531,” the report says.
The JCC noted that 102 applications for participation in the initiative were submitted.
