Thermal power plant comes under missile attack in Kyiv – authorities
KYIV. Oct 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – A thermal power plant came under a missile attack in Kyiv, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko has said.
"Targets are energy facilities from Lviv to Zaporizhia, Kyiv region, Khmelnytsky, Dnipro and Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk region, Sumy region, Kharkiv region, Zhytormyr region, Kirovohrad region, in general, the entire south. This may affect the stability of power supply, so we need to be prepared for the consequences of such shelling, up to rolling blackouts. For example, only in Kyiv region, air defense shot down six missiles, but there was an incoming strike at a thermal power plant," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to him, the specialized services are making every effort to eliminate the consequences of shelling as soon as possible.
