There are nine Russian cruise missile carriers in Black and Mediterranean Seas – AFU Navy
KYIV. Aug 25 (Interfax-Ukraine) – There are five Russian carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles in the Black and Mediterranean Seas, the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
"There are four enemy carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles on combat duty in the Black Sea, a total salvo of 28 missiles; in the Sea of Azov, the enemy continues to control sea communications, keeping up to six ships and boats on combat duty; in the Mediterranean Sea, there are five carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles," the AFU Navy wrote on the Telegram channel on Thursday.
According to the AFU Navy, 14 vessels passed through the Kerch-Yenikale Kanal to the Sea of Azov during the day in the interests of Russia, of which two vessels moved from the Bosphorus Strait; 14 vessels entered the Black Sea, of which three vessels continued to move in the direction of the Bosphorus.
"The Russian Federation continues to violate the 1974 International Convention for the Protection of Human Life at Sea (SOLAS) by turning off automatic identification systems (AIS) on civilian vessels in the waters of the Sea of Azov," the AFU Navy recalled.
