There are almost no vaccinated among hospitalized COVID patients in Kharkiv region – dpty head of Kharkiv Regional State Administration
KYIV. Sept 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) – As of September 16, there are 947 patients in hospitals in Kharkiv region who have been diagnosed with COVID-19, the vast majority of whom have not been vaccinated, deputy head of Kharkiv Regional State Administration Mykhailo Cherniak said.
"Of those 947 people who are in hospitals today, only 3.5% are vaccinated. This shows that, as Health Minister Viktor Liashko said, the pandemic is becoming a pandemic of the unvaccinated. None of the vaccinated are in the intensive care unit, nor among the dead," Cherniak was quoted as saying by the Kharkiv Regional State Administration press service.
Cherniak called on residents of the region to be vaccinated.
He also said that the number of patients and hospitalizations is growing in the region. Thus, over the past day, COVID-19 was confirmed in almost 500 people, and almost 140 patients were hospitalized.
