Textile-Contact Group expands capacity of restored factory in Chernihiv with equipment purchased in Poland
KYIV. Aug 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Textile factory of Textile-Contact group of companies in Chernihiv, which began gradual recovery at the end of April after the destruction suffered in March, is putting into operation equipment for dyeing and final processing of mixed fabrics as part of the expansion of production capacities, the owner of the group Oleksandr Sokolovsky has said.
"My … managing partner at TK-Home Textile, Volodymyr Martseniuk, at the end of June looked after used, but completely working equipment at one closing textile production in Polish Lodz, agreed on a significant discount for urgency, found an opportunity for additional investment in more than EUR 100,000, and now it has already been installed and launched at our Chernihiv textile factory the other day," he wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.
Sokolovsky recalled that the textile factory in Chernihiv, which was put into operation three years ago, was severely damaged after enemy bombing and fire, however, after the Russian invaders retreated from Chernihiv, the team decided to restore it, and fabric finishing was already launched in June.
"And now they have also expanded the capacity with additional atmospheric jiggers BK7-Dofama (2005) and Mini Futura (2004) manufactured by Vald. Henriksen. This equipment is designed for dyeing natural fabrics 100% cotton, linen and jute, and for the final processing of blended fabrics," the owner of the group wrote.
"And most importantly, now we will be able to additionally produce up to 10,000 running meters of fabric per day! Which is very important for some important customers, whom I will not name for obvious reasons!" he added.
As reported, before the war, the factory produced about 400,000 meters of fabric per month.
Textile-Contact is one of the largest trade and production groups in the light industry market of Ukraine, founded in 1995.
