KYIV. May 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Swiss-based Syngenta, one of the world’s largest producers of seeds and plant protection products, provided the territorial communities of Ukraine, free from Russian invaders, with 2,000 sets of vegetable seeds and plant protection products (PPP) for a total amount of more than UAH 700,000.
"The company provided seeds of tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini and cabbage, as well as plant protection products for the successful cultivation of these crops, including potatoes. The market value of the packages is over UAH 700,000. Some 2,000 personal sets with seeds and plant protection products will be transferred to territorial communities that have been under occupation for some time," the company wrote on its Facebook page on Monday.
It is clarified that Syngenta provides this charitable assistance as part of the Victory Gardens national initiative, aimed at growing crops on all available land plots in order to prevent a food crisis in Ukraine in the context of a military invasion by the aggressor country of the Russian Federation.
As reported, on April 14, Ukraine launched the Victory Gardens national initiative, aimed at preventing a food crisis in the country by maximizing the use of available land in the country and attracting resources for growing food.
