Switzerland donates 1.5 mln COVID-19 tests to local authorities in Luhansk regions
KYIV. Aug 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) – An official delegation led by the Chairman of the National Council of the Federal Assembly of the Swiss Confederation Andreas Aebi visited the Stanytsia Luhanska entry-exit checkpoint, located in the area of the Joint Force Operation (JFO).
According to the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Thursday, at the moment the Stanytsia Luhanska is the only entry-exit checkpoint in Luhansk region, which continues to operate normally.
"On average, up to 20,000 citizens pass through this entry-exit checkpoint in both directions per week," the Armed Forces of Ukraine said.
It is noted that the head of the delegation handed over 1.5 million antigen tests for coronavirus (COVID-19) to the local authorities, which will be used to ensure the functioning of the road corridor in the context of anti-epidemic measures.
