Sweden to allocate $30 mln to replenish Ukraine Energy Support Fund – Haluschenko
KYIV. Feb 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Swedish government has decided to contribute almost $30 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, Ukrainian Energy Minister Herman Haluschenko said after a meeting with Swedish Deputy Prime Minister Ebba Busch in Stockholm.
“In addition, Sweden will allocate funds to support the IAEA mission, which is working at all Ukrainian nuclear power plants,” Haluschenko was quoted by the Ministry of Energy on the Telegram channel on Tuesday.
At the same time, it is important to support the IAEA mission in order to be able to record the impact of Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy system, nuclear and radiation safety.
The minister added that Ukraine constantly receives assistance from international partners, both in money and in equipment, which helps restore energy facilities after Russian attacks.
As reported, the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, established by the Energy Community Secretariat in April 2022, received EUR 144.366 million as of February 1, 2023.
