Supreme Court completely bans activities of Party of Shariy in Ukraine
KYIV. Sept 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Supreme Court, as part of a panel of judges of the Administrative Court of Cassation, on Tuesday reviewed appeal case No. P/857/1/22, in which the Justice Ministry of Ukraine asked the court to ban activities of the Party of Shariy and, by its ruling, to completely ban activities of the political party in Ukraine, according to the press service of the Supreme Court.
"In an appeal, the party asked to overrule the decision of the Eighth Administrative Court of Appeal, which satisfied the demand of the Justice Ministry of Ukraine, namely, it banned activities of the Party of Shariy and transferred the property, funds and other assets of this party and its regional, city, district organizations, primary cells and other structural formations in the ownership of the state," it said.
According to the press release, the Supreme Court ruled to reject the appeal of the political party and leave the ruling of the first instance unchanged.
"The decision is final and not subject to appeal," the court stressed.
