BRUSSELS. Dec 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that he welcomes the dialogue between U.S. President Joe Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin, and expressed the hope that Russia will respect Ukraine’s territorial integrity.
"We also welcomed the talk that took place between President Biden and President Putin yesterday and we really hope that Russia this time will not use military force but respect sovereignty and the territorial integrity of the sovereign and independent state in Europe-Ukraine," Stoltenberg said during the conferences on global peace and security in the 21st century.
He also once again called on Russia to reduce tension and to be transparent about its intentions regarding Ukraine.
Talks between the presidents of the United States and Russia took place on Tuesday and lasted over two hours. The leaders discussed Ukraine, as well as other issues.
