Stefanchuk hopes EU to ban visa issuance to Russians
KYIV. Aug 18 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk expects that the European Union will make a decision to ban the issuance of visas to Russian citizens.
"I hope that the parliaments of European countries, the European Union will make their contribution to blocking the opportunity for Russians to enjoy European civilizational benefits and leave them… in the country that they have built for themselves. They wanted the USSR, let them live there, return there. I think it will be fair," Stefanchuk said on the air of the national telethon on Thursday.
He also said he finds understanding of his European colleagues on this issue.
