Stefanchuk calls on to for produce trend on Ukrainian language
KYIV. Nov 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk urges to produce trend for the Ukrainian language – to use it every day, the speaker’s secretariat reports.
"We must produce a trend for the Ukrainian language, use it every day and everywhere – with family or friends, at school or at work. So that citizens understand that the Ukrainian language is fashionable. The Ukrainian language is cool. The Ukrainian language is understandable," Stefanchuk said at a meeting with the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and leading scientists of the Institute of the Ukrainian Language of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
The speaker also got acquainted with the written monuments, which contain unique evidence that the texts of the 11th century have features of the Ukrainian language.
