Stefanchuk announces opening of info center of parliament
KYIV. Aug 19 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk has announced the opening of a parliamentary information center.
"Now we are doing everything so that journalists have the opportunity to get all the necessary information about the life of the parliament. In the coming days, we will announce the opening of a special parliamentary information center, where it will be possible to get all the information that society needs about the activities of the parliament," Stefanchuk said on the air of the national telethon.
At the same time, the speaker noted that journalists will be able to return to work in the building of the Verkhovna Rada only after the security of the appropriate level is guaranteed.
"Parliament is one of the decision-making centers and when the required level of security is ensured, of course, we will open parliament for journalists…We must ensure the balance of the right to information, the balance of the safety of journalists," Stefanchuk stressed.
