State of Ukraine under attack – Poroshenko on Pandora Papers investigation
KYIV. Oct 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The international financial crimes of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his partner Ihor Kolomoisky, reported by the world media, are not investigated in Ukraine, fifth president, leader of the European Solidarity party Petro Poroshenko said.
"I am shocked that the representatives of the monomajority did not even mention what the whole world is talking about today. Today we need to talk about crimes, about international crimes of the top leadership of the state and Volodymyr Zelensky personally. Unfortunately, now the state of Ukraine is under attack, when, due to the actions of President Zelensky, Ukraine appears in the world as a state whose leader, together with his business partner Kolomoisky, is involved in global corruption, in laundering money stolen in Ukraine," the press service of the political force quotes Poroshenko as saying during the conciliation council of the party.
He also said that well-known media talk about this: The Guardian, El Pais, The Washington Post, Euronews, CNN, Deutsche Welle.
"The place where it can be discussed is parliament. The leadership of the monomajority is trying to shut us up here too […] The point is that, together with Kolomoisky, $40 million were stolen. Zelensky is not Holoborodko, and this has been known since 2019. This was not investigated, because today the top political leadership is associated with the SBI, which has a conflict of interest and jointly participated in these crimes; with other 100% loyal heads of law enforcement agencies," the politician said.
"I am convinced that this is unacceptable," Poroshenko said.
