State budget spending on purchase of military equipment in Dec up to UAH 38 bln, payments to military reach UAH 99 bln – ministry
KYIV. Jan 18 (Interfax-Ukraine) – State budget expenditures to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the form of the purchase of military equipment, weapons, ammunition, defense products, and personal protective equipment in December amounted to UAH 38 billion (11.5% of all expenditures) compared to 18.4 UAH billion in November (7%) and UAH 35.9 billion in October (16.1%).
According to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, citing data from the State Treasury, a total of UAH 282.5 billion, or 12.7% of all expenses, has been spent for these purposes since the beginning of the war.
The information indicates that cash expenditures for the monetary maintenance of military personnel in December amounted to record UAH 99 billion, which is more than the November figure of UAH 88.1 billion and the October figure of UAH 81.3 billion.
However, in the general structure of cash expenditures, the salaries of military personnel slightly decreased to 29.8% from 33.7% a month earlier due to the growth of all cash expenditures of the state budget general fund to record UAH 331.7 billion from UAH 261.1 billion in November and UAH 223.5 billion in October.
In total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, UAH 721.9 billion, or 32.4% of all expenditures of the state budget general fund (UAH 2.227 trillion), have been allocated to pay salaries to military personnel.
In general, the expenditures of the state budget general fund on wages with accruals in December amounted to UAH 131.7 billion, or 39.7% of all expenditures, and since the beginning of the war – UAH 938.2 billion, or 42.1%.
According to the Ministry of Finance, since the beginning of the war, 20.7% of all spending, or UAH 545.7 billion, has been for social security (UAH 58.3 billion in December versus UAH 55.8 billion in November).
Of the remaining expenses, 4.8-5.9% fell on the National Health Service of Ukraine for the implementation of the program of state guarantees of medical care – UAH 125.5 billion (UAH 20.3 billion in December versus UAH 7.1 billion in November), public debt servicing – UAH 132 billion (in December – UAH 6.9 billion after UAH 36.4 billion in November) and transfers to local budgets – UAH 106 billion (UAH 10.2 billion in December versus UAH 9.3 billion in November).
