State budget for 2022 foresees about UAH 10 bln for energy sector – Finance Minister
KYIV. Sept 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Expenditures on the energy sector next year are projected at UAH 10 billion, according to the draft law on the state budget of Ukraine for 2022, approved by the government on September 15.
According to the draft state budget for 2022, presented by Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko during a government meeting, state support for the coal industry will amount to UAH 4.5 billion. It includes partial coverage of the wages of miners, the costs of liquidating unprofitable mines and mining rescue operations.
In addition, it is planned to send a grant of the German government in the amount of UAH 1.1 billion to support the transformation of coal regions, as well as UAH 4.1 billion – under the projects of international financial organizations, in particular for the modernization of hydroelectric power plants and substations, increasing the efficiency of gas production, improving the energy efficiency and reliability of the integrated power system of Ukraine.
According to Marchenko, the total resource of the signed projects of international financial organizations is UAH 42 billion.
In addition, UAH 49.7 million is planned to be spent on safety in the energy sector.
At the same time, Marchenko noted that financial resources for the development of housing and utilities services and the implementation of energy efficient measures will amount to over UAH 70 billion.
"Of these, UAH 5.3 billion are funds from the Energy Efficiency Fund, UAH 64.9 billion are from international financial organizations and governments of other states, of which UAH 3.9 billion have already been taken into account in the draft budget," the minister explained.
As reported, budget revenues for 2022 are determined at the level of UAH 1.277 trillion, which is UAH 161 billion more than the planned indicators of the state budget for 2021. Expenditures are proposed to be set in the amount of UAH 1.465 trillion (more by UAH 103 billion to the planned indicator of the state budget for 2021).
