KYIV. Dec 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Since December 5, 2021, the Spanish low-cost Vueling Airlines has launched direct flights from Boryspil International Airport (Kyiv) to Orly International Airport (Paris), the press service of the Boryspil airport has reported.
"The Spanish low-cost airline Vueling has started regular passenger flights between Paris and Kyiv. The airport team congratulated the airline’s crew on the new destination," the airport said in a post on Facebook.
Director General of Boryspil Airport Oleksiy Dubrevsky greeted Vueling Airlines, noting that since Tuesday, 38 airlines have been operating at the airport in 118 destinations. This demonstrates a rapid recovery in passenger traffic, and that the strategy to attract new carriers and expand the network is working and yielding results.
"The beginning of cooperation with Vueling is very important for us, because another European low-cost airline has confirmed its interest in Ukraine. We wish the airline satisfied customers, safe flights and new routes," Dubrevsky said.
Vueling flies to the Boryspil airport from the Paris Orly. The airline operates flights from Kyiv twice a week – every Tuesday and Sunday. The airline’s fleet consists of A320, A321 and A319 aircraft.
