Some 85% of educational institutions of Lviv region to suspend work on Thursday – dpty head of Regional State Administration
KYIV. Sept 22 (Interfax-Ukraine) – About 14% of educational institutions in Lviv region are ready to continue working, all the rest will have to suspend work from Thursday, first deputy head of the Lviv Regional State Administration Andriy Hodyk said.
"Approximately 14% of educational institutions are ready to continue working, and the rest will have to suspend work from Thursday. This is the position of the Commission on Environmental Safety, Manmade Disaster and Emergency Response – there will be no online training," Hodyk was quoted as saying during a meeting of the Lviv regional commission on Environmental Safety, Manmade Disaster and Emergency Response.
According to the first deputy head of Lviv Regional State Administration, the reason for such a step was "the low level of vaccination of educational institutions staff, in some places deliberate sabotage of the vaccination campaign by education workers."
"This is a forced step on the part of the state, children’s health is in the first place," the press service of the Lviv Regional State Administration quoted Hodik as saying.
According to the regional state administration, 37% of employees in the field of education of the region passed the full course of vaccination, and 44% – the first dose.
