Some 41,000 people leave temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhia region in fall – region’s head
KYIV. Dec 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – During the autumn, 41,000 civilians were evacuated from the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhia region and almost 600 people left the combat zone, head of the Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Starukh has said.
"The evacuation in Zaporizhia region is always underway. During the autumn, 41,000 people left the temporarily occupied territories and almost 600 more people left the combat zone directly, and evacuation continues from the region as a whole every day – up to a thousand people. Some 900 people left for quieter territories of our country yesterday," he said at a briefing at the media center Ukraine – Ukrinform on Monday.
At the same time, according to him, from 5% to 20% of the population remained within the communities of the region and up to 10% – in the combat zone.
In addition, Starukh noted that up to 60 attacks per day are recorded on average in the region.
