Some 4,000 Hasidic Jews arrive in Uman to mark Rosh Hashanah – UJCU

KYIV. Sept 19 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Hasidic Jews have started to arrive in Uman, Cherkasy region, for the celebration of Rosh Hashanah, the United Jewish Community of Ukraine (UJCU) has said.

"According to the United Jewish Community of Ukraine, 4,000 Hasidic Jews have arrived in Uman for an annual pilgrimage trip on the occasion of Rosh Hashanah. Starting from today, mass arrival of a large number of Hasidic pilgrims to Uman begins. They are heading for Ukraine from various corners of the world regardless of the war, showing their confidence in the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the UJCU said on the Telegram channel on Monday.
