Some 25,400 people evacuated from liberated territories in five regions – Vereschuk
KYIV. Nov 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Some 25,400 people have been evacuated from the territories liberated from the Russian occupation in five regions, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Iryna Vereschuk, who is also the Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily occupied Territories of Ukraine, said at a press briefing on Thursday.
As of November 15, some 25,420 people, including 2,625 children and 588 persons with impaired mobility, were evacuated from the de-occupied territories in five regions.
In particular, 23,875 people were evacuated from Kharkiv region, 592 people – from Mykolaiv region, 588 – from Donetsk region, 308 – from Kherson region, and 57 people – from Luhansk region.
"This process is voluntary, we do not force anyone. Our task is to give people a choice," Vereschuk said.
