Some 2,300 Ukrainians receive treatment abroad – Dpty Health Minister

KYIV. Jan 19 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Some 2,300 Ukrainians currently receive treatment abroad, foreign clinics do not suffer from blackouts and are able to provide patients with uninterrupted medical care, Deputy Health Minister of Ukraine Iryna Mykychak has said.

"More than 2,300 people receive treatment abroad. We can always provide patients with medical care, moreover, the experience of Ukrainian medics is unique. Few in the world have such an experience we have gained during the war. However, the foreign clinics do not suffer from blackouts and air raid alerts, and patients there are in a calm state of mind," she said on the air of the national telethon on Thursday.

Mykychak also said that the Health Ministry received assistance from foreign clinics, as long as "they are provided with good resources and are able to ensure comfort and calm atmosphere for a patient."

She noted that Ukrainians have traveled for treatment to 29 countries of the world since the beginning of the war.
