Some 21% of base stations restored in Kherson region – State Special Communications Service
KYIV. Jan 30 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Mobile operators, in coordination with the National Centre for Operations and Technology Management of Telecommunications Networks under the State Special Communications Service, have restored 21% of all base stations in Kherson region, Head of the State Special Communications Service Yuriy Schyhol said on his Facebook page.
"The resumption of communications in the de-occupied territories and the provision of communications to citizens throughout Ukraine depend on several key factors. First of all, on the availability of power supply, security (shelling by the enemy, mined territories), and the state of equipment," he said.
According to him, in addition to Kherson region, today Odesa and Zaporizhia regions, where 57.8% and 46.3% of the total number of base stations are available, as well as Donetsk and Luhansk regions, are experiencing the greatest difficulties with the availability of mobile communications in Ukraine.
In the rest of the country, the availability of mobile communications is at least 76% of the total number of base stations of mobile operators, the head of the State Special Communications Service said.
