Slovakia to transfer about 300 generators to Ukraine, they will be transferred to civilian facilities – Kuleba

KYIV. Dec 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba has announced Slovakia’s plans to transfer about 300 generators to the Ukrainian side by the end of this year.

"Ukraine greatly appreciates Slovakia’s assistance in overcoming the energy crisis, in particular, plans to transfer about 300 generators this month," Kuleba said at a joint press conference with Slovak Foreign Minister Rastislav Káčer in Kyiv on Thursday.

Answering a question from journalists about the targeted use of aid, he said that "the generators provided should first of all help civilians – schools, hospitals; these are those who need to be helped first of all." "We must help civilians survive this winter, because we can foresee difficulties, and there are already difficulties from missile attacks from Russia," the minister added.

The Foreign Minister also thanked his Slovak counterpart for the military and humanitarian assistance provided and announced the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the departments.

"Today we have signed a memorandum of cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Slovakia. It defines further goals of bilateral cooperation, clarifies the forms of our interaction in the international arena," Kuleba said.
