Sixty-six high–rise buildings damaged by enemy shelling restored in Kharkiv, more than 40 in process of reconstruction – mayor
KHARKIV. Jan 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Last year, 66 multi-storey buildings were restored in Kharkiv, which were damaged as a result of enemy shelling, Mayor Ihor Terekhov said.
"Last year we managed to restore 66 houses, and now residents are settling in … Now more than 40 houses are under reconstruction. These are the houses that have passed the stages of expertise and we must restore them," Terekhov told reporters on Tuesday.
According to him, at the moment there are 4,500 multi-storey buildings in Kharkiv, which are damaged to one degree or another, 500 houses are not subject to reconstruction and restoration. About 150,000 citizens were left without a roof over their heads.
