Six vessels with foodstuffs aboard leave Ukrainian ports for Spain, Italy, Turkey, China – UN
NEW YORK. Sept 20 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Six vessels carrying foodstuffs departed from Ukrainian ports on Monday after receiving approval from the Joint Coordination Center, the United Nations said.
"The Joint Coordination Centre (JCC) reports that six vessels left Ukrainian ports carrying a total of 212,580 tonnes of grain and other food products under the Black Sea Grain Initiative," the UN said.
They are the Arcturus (69,080 tonnes of wheat) and the Gulmar (16,300 tonnes of wheat, 17,350 tonnes of corn and 8,350 tonnes of barley), all bound for Spain, the UN said. The Akson Sara (30,700 tonnes of corn) and the Fulmar bulker (4,400 tonnes of sunflower meal and 3,400 tonnes of rapeseed meal) left for Italy.
The Tomahawk vessel is delivering 60,000 tonnes of sunflower meal to China, and the Esence is delivering 3,000 tonnes of wheat to Turkey.
"As of 19 September, the total tonnage of grain and other foodstuffs exported from the three Ukrainian ports is 3,886,995 tonnes. A total of 365 voyages (196 inbound and 169 outbound) have been enabled so far," the UN said.
