Six NBU MPC members stand for keeping NBU refinancing rate at 8.5%, three more in favor of raising it to 9%
KYIV. Nov 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Seven members of the Monetary Policy Committee of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU MPC) supported keeping the refinancing rate at 8.5% per annum on October 20, three more members of the committee suggested raising the rate by 50 basis points, to 9%, the regulator’s press service reported on Monday.
"Seven members of the Monetary Policy Committee spoke in favor of keeping the refinancing rate at 8.5% […] Three members of the committee spoke in favor of raising the rate to 9.0% at the October meeting," the message says.
