Situation in east is difficult, but we doing everything to survive – Zelenskyy
KYIV. Feb 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The situation at the frontline in the east is very difficult, but everything is being done to survive, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a video address on Thursday.
“I held a meeting of the Headquarters today. Extended format, detailed reports. Zaluzhny, Syrsky, Tarnavsky, Moskaliov and Nayev. Situation in key areas. The East is very difficult. Painfully. But we are doing everything to survive,” he said.
“South – In some areas the situation is quite dangerous, but our soldiers have something and how to respond to the occupier. Odesa and the Black Sea area – we control the situation. North – all our warriors in this direction see every intention of the enemy. Where necessary, we are strengthening,” Zelenskyy said.
According to him, “there was a report by Head of the Main Intelligence Agency Budanov, regarding the actual intentions of the occupier. There is also a decision about our opposition.”
“Separately and in great detail at the Headquarters, the issues of production and supply of ammunition and weapons were considered. Of course, I cannot publicly give details about this. But it is meaningful work. And I am glad to hear at Headquarters that even in such conditions we have the appropriate potential,” the president said.
He also noted that in Kherson, as a result of another Russian strike, the main pipeline was damaged, which provided heating for about 600 houses – more than 40,000 people! “Repair work will continue without interruption until heat supplies are resumed. And we will restore! Whatever these Russian terrorists and bastards do, we will restore everything,” Zelenskyy said.
