Shmyhal, Swiss Vice President Cassis discuss countering pandemic, Russian aggression
KYIV. Oct 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal has discussed with Vice President of Switzerland Ignazio Cassis the issues of countering the COVID-19 pandemic and Russian aggression.
"I am glad to have the opportunity to discuss with Vice-President of Switzerland Ignazio Cassis topical issues of cooperation in preparation for the International Conference on Reforms in Lugano. We touched upon the issues of countering the pandemic and Russian aggression, strengthening trade and humanitarian cooperation, as well as cooperation in the field of digitalization," Shmyhal wrote on the Telegram channel.
According to him, Switzerland is one of the largest investors in Ukraine.
"There are a number of promising projects that we are ready to jointly implement for the welfare of our countries," the prime minister added.
As reported, Vice President, Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland Ignazio Cassis is visiting Ukraine on October 27-29.
