Shmyhal says he would be very happy if Canadian PM Trudeau visits Ukraine
KYIV. May 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal declares that he would be very happy to host Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and members of the Canadian government in Ukraine.
"We are waiting for them so much. We will be very glad. It will be a big honour for us to host your prime minister, your government members," Shmyhal said in the air of CBC News.
The prime minister noted that such a visit would be a great signal and symbol of support for Ukrainians from Canada and its government.
Shmyhal added that support with finances, weapons, sanctions against Russia is one side of the relationship, but visits of high-level politicians to Ukraine are a demonstration of friendly relations.
Shmyhal also noted that he is waiting for the Canadian embassy to return to Kyiv.
