Shmyhal discusses with Šefčovič sanctions against Rosatom
KYIV. March 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal discussed with Vice President of the European Commission Maroš Šefčovič sanctions against Rosatom.
“We have coordinated further steps of European integration and restoration of the energy sector with Vice President of the European Commission Maroš Šefčovič. We are working on completing the full synchronization of the Ukrainian energy system with ENTSO-E in order to increase our import-export opportunities for electricity. We also expect to join the EU Raw Materials Strategy to 2030 this year,” Shmyhal wrote on his Telegram channel.
The prime minister thanked the European Commission for allocating EUR 180 million for the purchase of solar panels for Ukraine.
“We also focused on sanctions against Rosatom. It is critically important to reduce the dependence of European countries on Russian nuclear fuel and deprive Russia of super profits in the nuclear industry,” he stressed.
