Shmyhal conveys Zelensky's proposal to India to become one of guarantors of Ukraine's security

KYIV. Sept 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly and conveyed to India the proposal of President Volodymyr Zelensky to become one of the guarantors of Ukraine’s security.

"Dispelled the myths of Russian propaganda about the grain initiative and the Zaporizhia NPP. We must make joint efforts to extend the security corridors for Ukrainian grain and demilitarize the station. Thank you to India for its willingness to defend these issues. He stressed the need to unite efforts to stop Russia’s war against Ukraine," Shmyhal wrote on the Telegram channel.

According to the Prime Minister, he conveyed to India the proposal of the President of Ukraine to become one of the guarantors of Ukraine’s security after the war and invited India to join the post-war reconstruction.

"We will be glad to welcome the Indian leadership on a visit to Ukraine," he wrote.
