Shmyhal calls good sign when business stands in line for professionals

KYIV. Sept 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal says that in Ukraine there is a demand for workers with practical skills that can be obtained in dual education.

"We want to focus our attention today on vocational education […] Today there is a great shortage of staff in the labor market. And the presence of a customer representative here today, the presence of dual agreements on dual education with business, when business stands in line for employees who know what to do, that is a good sign," Shmyhal said during the celebrations on the occasion of the Day of Knowledge and the beginning of the new school year at the Kyiv Higher Vocational School of Construction and Design on Wednesday.

The Prime Minister said that there is a demand for employees who have education and practical skills, in connection with which dual education is of great importance.

According to him, at the moment more than 200 institutions have agreed on dual education with more than 1,500 enterprises.
