Shmyhal: as of 11.00, eleven important infrastructure facilities damaged in 8 regions, Kyiv city
KYIV. Oct 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – As of 11.00, eleven important infrastructure facilities have been damaged in eight regions and Kyiv city, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal says.
"Russian terrorists are shelling Ukrainian cities en masse today. Civilian and critical infrastructure is under attack. One of the first targets was a playground, museums and educational institutions. Unfortunately, people died. As of 11.00, eleven important infrastructure facilities were damaged in 8 regions and Kyiv. Now part of the regions is de-energized. We need to be prepared for temporary interruptions in electricity, water supply, and communications," he wrote on the Telegram channel.
The prime minister noted that the main goal of Russia is to sow panic, scare, leave Ukrainians without light and heat.
"All services are working on the sites, we are promptly restoring our infrastructure. We will do everything to restore all facilities as quickly as possible. Thanks to our rescuers and doctors who are now saving people’s lives in the epicenters of shelling. Thanks to our power engineers who are resuming the power supply of cities under shelling" he wrote.
Shmyhal also said that the air defense managed to shoot down more than 40 missiles out of 70.
