Shebelynka oil refinery starts to produce diesel with improved properties

KYIV. Oct 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Shebelynka Oil Refinery (Šhebel TM), after the completion of scheduled preventive maintenance, has switched to the production of diesel with improved low-temperature properties, according to a press release from NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy issued on Thursday.

"As part of the scheduled preventive maintenance at the Shebelynka Oil Refinery, the catalyst of the hydro refinement reactor was updated and a transition to the production of diesel fuel with improved low-temperature properties was made," Naftogaz said.

As the company said, the complex of works performed during the preventive maintenance will improve the quality of technological processes at the Shebelynka Oil Refinery, optimize costs through the use of energy-efficient technologies, and also increase the productivity of the enterprise.

"Preventive maintenance is a prerequisite for reliable uninterrupted operation of equipment, as well as a guarantee of safe working conditions for employees and minimizing the risk of emergency shutdowns," Commercial Director of JSC Ukrgazvydobuvannia (oil division, Shebel) Serhiy Fedorenko, whose words are given in the press release, said.

According to Naftogaz, in September-October, the cycle of preventive maintenance was also completed by other production enterprises that prepare raw materials and produce products under the Shebel brand – three gas processing units, as well as a condensate stabilization process shop.

Shebelynka Oil Refinery belongs to PJSC Ukrgazvydobuvannia, a 100% subsidiary of NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy.
