Shareholders of Kharkiv Municipal Insurance Company will consider termination of activities through voluntary liquidation
KYIV. Jan 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The shareholders of PrJSC Kharkiv Municipal Insurance Company are going to consider the issue of termination of its activities on a voluntary basis through liquidation.
The relevant issue was put on the agenda of the meeting of shareholders scheduled for February 27.
According to the company’s data in the information base of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, it is also planned to elect a liquidation commission, determine its rights and powers, the procedure for making decisions, the timing and procedure for filing claims by creditors.
As reported, on November 10, 2021, the National Bank of Ukraine excluded the insurer from the state register of financial institutions due to lack of licenses.
As reported, on September 17, 2021, the National Bank of Ukraine withdrew 16 licenses for insurance activities issued to the insurer at the request of the company.
Earlier, on August 3, 2021, the Motor (Transport) Insurance Bureau of Ukraine (MTIBU) excluded the insurer from the associate members of the bureau. The reason for this decision was the two-month debt of the insurer to pay the guarantee fee to the MTIBU funds.
Kharkiv Municipal Insurance Company was registered in 1991 and specializes in risk types of insurance.
The charter capital of the company is UAH 61.75 million.
The company was engaged in insurance of vehicle owners’ civil liability (76.19% of the insurance portfolio as of 2021), against accidents – 9.9%; financial risks – 7.53%, property and fire risks – 5.22%.
