Seven Azerbaijani troops killed, 10 injured in combat on border with Armenia – Azerbaijani Defense Ministry
BAKU. Nov 17 (Interfax) – The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry has reported that seven Azerbaijani servicemen were killed in combat on the border with Armenia on Tuesday.
The ministry has published a list of the casualties, including one officer.
Ten servicemen have sustained injuries in action, it said.
The situation on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border stabilized in the evening of November 16, the ministry said.
"Azerbaijani troops are in control of the operative situation. The Azerbaijani Armed Forces remain on duty in the sovereign territory of Azerbaijan. The military and political leadership of Armenia bear responsibility for the tensions," it said.
