Servant of People considers current Rada agenda to be illegitimate

KYIV. Oct 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Servant of the People faction considers the current agenda of the Verkhovna Rada to be illegitimate, since the speaker has not gathered a conciliatory panel for its adoption, the faction’s spokesperson Yulia Paliychuk has said.

"The Servant of the People faction believes that the current agenda of the Verkhovna Rada, posted on the official website of the parliament, is illegitimate, since the chairman of the Rada has not yet gathered a conciliatory panel for its adoption. Our faction believes that the statement of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada on the need for three days for the technical preparation of the meeting of the Conciliation Board is simply losing of time," Paliychuk wrote on the Telegram on Wednesday.

She stressed that the faction will not hold meetings on the illegitimate agenda, therefore Servant of the People proposed another option, which does not require preliminary approval.

"It consists of issues that do not require inclusion in the agenda. These are resolutions related to the renaming of settlements, holding elections, changing the boundaries of settlements, various ratifications, etc. These issues are also important, since local communities are waiting for these decisions of parliament for quite a long time," the faction’s spokesperson said.

The spokesperson of the faction also said that today the issue of who will chair the meeting on Thursday, during which the issue of recalling Dmytro Razumkov from the post of chairman of the Rada, will be considered.

"We suggest that deputy of our faction Danylo Hetmantsev do this," Paliychuk said.

Also, according to her, the faction expects that "today the opposition will try to block our work and will not abandon attempts to recall the chairman of the Rada session."

"We will consider all these issues exclusively within the framework of the rules of the Verkhovna Rada," she summed up.
