Securities commission expects 30-50 more foreign securities to enter Ukrainian market soon
KYIV. Sept 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Admission to circulation on the Ukrainian market will soon receive another 30 to 50 foreign securities.
This forecast was given by Yaroslav Shliakhov, a member of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, at the Ukrainian Financial Forum (UFF) organized by the ICU investment group in Kyiv on Friday.
"There’s not a week goes by we [the regulator] do not launch foreign securities for circulation on the domestic market," Shliakhov said during the discussion.
In his opinion, at present there is no problem with the possibilities of investing Ukrainians in foreign securities.
A member of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission Irakli Baramia said at the forum that the National Commission will do everything possible to ensure that the funds that Ukrainian buyers send to purchase foreign securities remain in Ukraine, therefore, it is interested that such securities are traded within the country.
