Scholz assures in further support for Ukraine
KYIV. Dec 14 (Interfax-Ukraine) – German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said support for Ukraine in its fight against Russia’s war of aggression should be continued as long as necessary.
"Together with our friends and partners, we strongly supported Ukraine – financially, humanitarianly and with weapons," he said, speaking in the German parliament.
Support should continue, Scholz said, "for as long as it’s needed."
The chancellor said Russian President Vladimir Putin not only "fundamentally miscalculated" with his invasion of Ukraine, but also made a mistake "in the courage of Ukrainians, in Europe, in us, in the character of our democracies, in our will to resist great-power mania and imperialism."
